The Curated Take

This is my gamer wedge from 130 yards into the flag. It had a mid to high launch that enable me to work the ball at various trajectories. I play knock down shots to full swings with the this wedge and it's help me shave stroke from my scores by getting the ball closer to the pin.

The new RTX Zipcore wedges from Cleveland grow on the successful RTX line with new and improved groove design to increase spin on all shots around the green. These wedges are great for players looking for maximum versatility around the greens.

Key Features:

  • ZipCore – Replacing steel with a lightweight core, the CG (center of gravity) is repositioned to allow more shots to hit the sweet spot.
  • UltiZip Grooves – These are the deepest and tightest-packed grooves Cleveland has ever made, increasing spin and providing more control out of the rough.
  • Increased Durability – Utilizing a measured, timed blast of heat, Cleveland is able to strengthen the face to last longer for a player.

The Cleveland RTX series has been a dominating wedge for years. Cleveland is known for their wedge products, and the technology only gets better with the RTX Zipcore. Designed to increase spin, you will can see spin on full swing shots and around the green. The best benefit from a wedge like this is the ability to play a firmer and more distance oriented golf ball while maintaining high spin levels in your wedge shots. Attention to what loft, bounce, and grind is best for your playing or swing style is important to benefit the most from wedges.

Pros
  • Golfers looking for a top class blade shaped wedge
  • Players who like a lot of spin on the greens
  • Versatility in chip shots from various lies in bunkers or grass
Cons
  • Someone who wants a lot of forgiveness in a wedge
