Product details
The Cleveland RTX Zipcore Black Satin Wedge delivers golfers a trusted, traditional wedge design with sophisticated groove architecture, improving shot control around the greens. Multiple lofts and bounce options in the wedges fit any attack on the ball, course condition, or shot trajectory preference.
Key Features:
- ZipCore – Increasing spin control while also raising the MOI(Moment of Inertia) and enhancing stability through impact, Zipcore uses a low-density core to specifically position the center of gravity of the club.
- ULTIZIP Grooves – Closely spaced sharp and deep grooves channel away debris and bite into the golf ball for added groove contact and more forgiveness.
- Heat Treated – Each wedge is treated with a measured time blast of heat for added durability.

Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
How does the feel and feedback of the Cleveland RTX Zipcore Black Satin Wed
The Cleveland RTX black satin wedge feels responsive and forgiving around the greens and from the fairways. I play this club from a variety of lies and yardages around the greens. I can flight the ball high and land it soft. I can close the face and puch it to a short stop. I open the face and lob it high. The feel is unreal and you should put the Celeveland RTX ZipCore black satin wedge in your bag.

How forgiving is the Cleveland RTX Zipcore Black Satin Wedge, and will it help me get out of bunkers and other difficult lies easier?
The answer to all of this is a yes. I have a 56-degree RTX Black Satin Wedge in the bag, and I use it to play a variety of shots around the green and from 100 yards to the green. I can play a variety of club face angles from a variety of lies around the green. I do prefer my 60-degree RTX raw wedge from the bunker, but the black satin 56-degree is an outstanding option as well for covering yardage from longer bunker shots. The Cleveland RTX Black Satin is a swiss army knife of wedges.
Are the Cleveland RTX Zipcore Black Satin Wedges suitable for all skill levels, or are they better suited for advanced golfers?
I bought mine when I was a 20 handicap, and it's stayed in the bag as I have worked my golf game down to an eight handicap. It is very forgiving and responsive around the greens. I bought the 56-degree and use it to play a variety of shots and club face angles. Advance golfers will get the most responsiveness out of the RTX line from Cleveland. If you want more forgiveness, Cleveland also has the CBX line for players who prefer cavity-backs.

UltiZip Grooves are sharper, deeper, and closer than previous models to increase spin and distance control. Combine the spin with a stable, solid feel and you have a winner.
