The F-MAX Airspeed is Cobra’s lightest and most forgiving family of clubs geared for players just starting their golf career. Club weighting and design help players avoid the slice.
Offset Design – Extra offset throughout the bag assists players who struggle with a slice square the face and hit straighter shots.
Progressive Hosel Lengths – The irons provide longer hosels in the short irons and shorter hosels in the long irons to move the CG (center of gravity) location around to provide optimal performance for every type of shot.
Low Profile Shape – A lower profile iron head lowers the CG in the iron to increase ball flight and makes the club easier to hit.

Perfect for the moderate swing speed player who seeks an easy to control iron that uses lighter shafts and head designs to maximize swing speeds and garner better ball speeds. Using a deep undercut cavity behind the face and low profile shaping along with progressive hosel lengths to change center of gravity locations, long irons are built with deep/back cg for launch and forgiveness, mid irons move that cg up for control of trajectories, while short irons and wedges use higher cg up the taller hosel to lower launch. Couple that with a progressive offset from long to short irons allow more control of side-spin in the long irons and specific trajectory control in the scoring irons to target any pin. Strong lofts of 22 degrees in the 4-iron to 45 degrees in the pitching wedge and FST 97 gram ultra-light steel, and Cobra Airspeed 55 gram graphite work to produce trajectories that get massive carry distance.
This would be a really good value play, giving you a game-improvement iron that is ideal for moderate swing speeds, distance and forgiveness. The progressive hosel design creates lower center of gravity in the longer irons, and a more boring, scoring trajectory in the mid to short irons. Light weight shafts create an iron that is easier to swing and create club head speed with, that doesn't require a grunting effort allowing you to focus on good ball striking and not having to create your own distance with every shot.
These irons are forgiving but still capable of delivering high ball speeds. Light and strong, that's the best way to describe them. Using a deep undercut cavity behind the face and low profile shaping along with progressive hosel lengths to change center of gravity (cg) locations, long irons have a deeper cg, mid irons move it up for more control of trajectories, while short irons use higher cg for a lower angel of launch.
Super well-manufactured by Cobra, a great reliable brand. These are light and strong, and will give you a nice launch to your ball flights! Has a very nice progressive design too, so that the long irons are geared more for launch/distance/forgiveness, while the lower irons/wedges are geared more for control/precision so you can get your approach shot closer to the hole.
Cobra has been putting out really great clubs in the last few years, and this rings true for this model. Great distance and forgiveness, especially with the slice correction!
