The Therm-a-rest Uberlight sleeping pad is made for seasoned backpackers looking for a second sleeping pad to save weight in their packs in the warmer months. The Uberlight is designed to be lightweight while providing the insulation needed from the ground. Using lightweight materials can cause some challenges though as it is prone to puncturing and really noisy when trying to get comfortable.
Ideal for
- Lightest pad I've used
- Packs smaller than a water bottle
- Good comfort for the weight
Not ideal for
- This pad is louder than most and is prone to punctures
The Therm-A-Rest NeoAir Uberlight sleeping pad is an excellent choice for ultralight backpackers. With an R-Value of 2.3, the NeoAir UberLight is best suited to warm weather camping. Depending on the size, selected weight is between 6oz and 12oz.
Key Features:
- WingLock(TM) Valve – An easy to use air valve allows for fast air flow and a toggle for one way inflation.
- Pump Sack Stuff Sack – The included Pump Sack enables fast inflation without having to blow air directly into the pad. Also doubles as a stuff sack for bulkier items such as sleeping bags and clothing when packing into a backpack.
- Big On Comfort – 2.5 inches (6.4cm) of thickness keeps this ultralight sleeping pad a comfortable option.

Came to the site again (with previous good experience from other departments) in need of a tent and footprint-- Elizabeth was great with recommendations and offering more options that stayed within the budget but weren't on the radar to begin with. That and helping with other recommendations generally for hiking/camping, she is greatly appreciated!

I’m taking a couple month backpacking trip and needed all new gear that I am unfamiliar with. Scott was able to help me find everything I needed; if something did not fit my budget or was not quite right for me, he suggested different items to help me find the perfect gear. He responds quickly and always checked in to maintain communication. He’s easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be asking Scott for help again. Great all around experience.
