  • AST Plus - The AST Plus technology provides for improved performance by increasing the ability of the line to float and cast. It also helps to keep the line clean.
  • Orvis Line ID - The line taper, weight and functionality is printed on the line to allow for quick idendification of the line when swapping spools or changing line.
  • Welded Loops - There is a welded loop on each end of the line making it easier and quicker to attach backing or leaders.
  • Tri-Color Line - The line color changes to help aid in assessing casting distance and remaining line available on the spool.

Are textured fly lines worth it?
Textured fly lines are generally more desirable than smooth fly lines. Fly lines with texturing have a reduced surface area, resulting in lines that actually float higher in the water than traditionally smooth lines. This helps lines shed dirt, reduces water spray on casts, and allows anglers to mend lines much more easily.

This line will give you amazing, longer distance casts due to its slickness rating. It also sits up higher on the surface of the water which dry fly anglers will appreciate with every cast. One super cool thing about this line is that it's color coded to visually assist you in with your line control. There are many other features and benefits this line offers--it's simply top shelf and will out perform all other major brands on the market. Recommended for top water flies and smaller nymphs, cold water, medium-sized to larger streams, rivers and lakes.
