Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
What does SB mean on a wedge?
On all of Taylormade's milled grind wedge collection you may notice the letters SB. These letters could be on your MG1, MG2, or MG3 and have a very simple meaning. The SB stands for "Standard Bounce". Bounce on a wedge is designed to help the club glide through or dig through the turf and the SB version is the most versatile.

CNC-machined sole geometry with a very precise leading edge, the MG1 is a solid, buttery wedge thanks to the premium 8620 Carbon Steel that's used. Weight port near the hosel positions ads 10g to improve center of Gravity and achieve optimum spin and launch rates. MG stands for Milled Grind, which is preferred by a lot of folks on tour.
