The TaylorMade SIM2 Max Fairway is designed to deliver a vast array of mid-handicap players maximum launch by employing a low center of gravity with a V Steel sole that cuts through any turf condition. The confluence of low face forgiveness and fast face technologies expand the sweet spot for uncompromised distance and accuracy. Key Features: - V Steel with Ultra-Low CG – Constructed with an 80-gram V Steel sole improves turf interaction and versatility at impact, while tour-inspired shaping and center of gravity properties solicit high launch with low spin for explosive distance. - ZATECH Titanium with Twist Face – The Twist Face design overcomes inherent player mishit tendencies on an ultra-strong face material to accelerate ball speeds from a greater impact area. - Multi-Material Construction – Built with a light carbon crown, titanium body, and steel sole plate merges a multitude of materials to deliver improved launch performance with high MOI (moment of inertia or, in other words, resistance to twisting), stability and forgiveness. - Thru-Slot Speed Pocket – Increasing face flexibility to maintain ball speeds over more of the face, Thru-Slot Speed Pockets are engineered into the sole to proliferate distance on even low mishits.

Great for out of the rough because of the "v" sole. It interacts with the turf really well! Easier to hit with all the tech packed into it. At 19 degrees, you'll get the kind of launch and distance you need from a 5 wood, and could probably replace a 3 wood with greater accuracy. The speed pocket and low center of gravity produces high launch with max forgiveness due to the twist face, which adjusts for mishits—basically, the MOI (moment of inertia) is increased so the face doesn't twist as much on heel or toe strikes.

This Fairway Wood features a titanium body that is 40% lighter than a steel wood, a carbon composite crown, and a face that is 20% stronger than the titanium used in a driver. This combination generates better speed off the face and saves enough weight for an 80-gram sole plate that lowers the center of gravity for improved spin and launch.

Taylormade's V Steel technology was specifically designed to improve playability out of a variety of lies, and TM has kept its Twist Face tech to help with forgiveness, which is always welcome. It's also kept all of the adjustability of the previous lines, so players who know what they want have as much freedom as possible to play their own game. Taylormade has also improved the weight distribution from its SIM line to give a better center of gravity for long, low spin shots with high launch.

This fairway wood has a very low CG, which gives off great launch angles and low spin rates. It also has a wonderful weight distribution, to give the player maximum forgiveness while maintaining good launch. This club is very forgiving and gives great launch to the ball, giving the player a lot of distance with this wood.

This is a great club for people who want the longest distance and highest ball speeds possible out of a Fairway Wood.
