The TaylorMade SIM2 Max Iron Set is designed for mid-handicap players seeking reliable launch and improved performance where it is needed most. With multi-material construction, low launch relief, and fast face technologies stability and distance are maximized from various impact locations.

Key Features:

  • Cap Back Design – Providing stability within the topline and upper perimeter of the face, a new Cap Back Design, utilizing a polymer and multi-material construction, supports the topline from heel to toe.

  • ECHO Dampening System – With the use of the Cap Back Design, a full hollow body construction paves the way for a new ECHO Dampening System with a soft polymer blend to channel away harsh vibrations for a forged-like feel.

  • Progressive Inverted Cone Technology – Expanding the sweet spot by uniquely designing each face to the threshold of the legal limits of speed proliferates distance from strikes on and off-center.

  • Thru-Slot Speed Pocket – Engineered to maximize face flexibility on a lower point on the face increases ball speeds and launch from mishits low on the iron.

  • Low Center of Gravity – Derived from an array of technologies including a fluted hosel and an undercut and ultra-thin face, a lowered center of gravity position in each club promotes a high but penetrating flight trajectory.

The Taylormade Sim2 Max irons are great for novice to intermediate levels golfers. This iron set offers a higher launch making them appetizing for players, who don't have professional level spin, to get the ball on the green and make it stick. Additionally, they are easier on your budget than this years irons and with routine cleaning and upkeep can... Read more
Ideal for
  • The Taylormade Sim2 Max irons are amazing for novice to intermediate golfers.
  • The Taylormade Sim2 Max irons are extraordinarily forgiving which make them appetizing for the novice golfer.
  • Reasonably priced and stand the test of time which make them a great investment for someone who does not want to upgrade every season.
Not ideal for
  • Novice to intermediate level golfers may find the longer irons (4/5 irons) slightly less forgiving.
  • Professional level golfers would likely be more suited for a sturdier set of irons (i.e. P790 irons)
  • I would not recommend upgrading to the Sim Max 2 if someone currently owns Sim Max irons

These were the first set of new irons I purchased as I started taking golf really seriously. I've had them a little over two years now, and while my game has improved and my swing has gotten faster, these have also proven to keep up and let me experiment with my swing until I upgrade. The speed pocket really dampens... Read more

The Taylormade Sim2 Max irons are some of the best game improvement irons from 2021. This is because they had a great appearance at address, a lot of offset, and large sweet spots. For these reasons, the clubs were great for beginners and high handicappers that just wanted to hit the ball long and straight. As a result, these were... Read more

Defective

Originally posted at www.taylormadegolf.com on Apr 17, 2024
I purchased these irons BRAND NEW from a PGA Superstore. I was excited to give my new irons a swing, so I took them out to the range and one round of golf, it was at that time I realized there was an issue with the 5 iron. It did not sound right when striking the ball. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the rubber insert along the sole of the club had come loose and has gone into the cavity of the iron. I submitted a warranty claim and was a bit surprised at the lack of customer service I received. I submitted all photos and was then told that these were out of warranty due to the age of production on the iron (why continue to sell them) and was asked to provide a sales receipt showing these irons were purchased brand-new - Which I did. Then I was told that they cannot see the damage and want me to send the iron in for review or take it to an authorized retailer and the retailer can contact customer service... WHAT?! I was not submitting a claim for a whole new set of irons, merely the damaged 5 iron. I sent a reply advising that I did not want to wait weeks to send this in for review, nor drive the 100 miles each way back to the PGA Superstore - If I have to do that, I will take my sales receipt and return them for a different set of irons - most likely not TaylorMade. My reply did not garner a response, and after about a week, I asked for an update. I was issued the same cold response and was simply brushed off. Now, I thought I would share my story with all anyone reading this to ensure they understand that defects and warranty coverage will not be easy with TaylorMade. This really let me down. I have played TaylorMade irons for a long time from the R7, R9, Rocket Ballz, Speed Blade & M4 - Dare I mention all the drivers, bags and balls I have purchased over the years? This is the first time I have had an issue and had to file a warranty claim. They have not made this process easy and lets me know, never to purchase one of their products again. You can make your own decision, but I suggest you think very hard before taking a risk.

Great experience with Kyle. Very responsive. He definitely was super helpful with all the information I needed to make the right decision. Told me the pro's and cons of each set that he picked out. And even found a set of clubs that I originally wanted but found a way to relate and customize it to me. Asked me great questions to find the right product for me. Thank you Kyle! Would recommend his help and advice to anyone!

Very honest and upfront. Of course, I know his job is to make sales, but after asking him multiple questions and options for the products I was looking at. He did recommend some things that he had available to him, but also pointed me in other directions for the best options for my needs.

Cole was able to increase my knowledge of the clubs. I am just getting into golf so I was looking for “starter” clubs and Cole made it easy for me to get affordable clubs. He also gave me foresight as to what club brands I should invest in for the future. I would highly recommend Cole if you’re getting into golf. I’m sure his knowledge of the higher end products is well versed too. Great response time and friendly.

I was looking for some help with purchasing a set for my wife and just got lucky enough to run into Ted. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to purchasing golf clubs for myself but have never shopped women's clubs. I had some ideas but really wanted to bounce ideas off of a true club fitting professional. Ted was able to help get my wife the clubs she needed and confirm that we were on track to getting the right clubs for her.
