Product details

The TaylorMade SIM2 Max D Fairway Wood is built to benefit mid to high-handicap golfers who require a high launching fairway wood with confluent technologies aimed to provide consistently smooth turf interaction. This club can help maintain ball speeds off a large area of the face and can slow down slice spin through draw-bias weighting. Key Features: - V Steel with Ultra-Low CG – Constructed with an 80-gram V Steel sole improves turf interaction and versatility at impact, while tour-inspired shaping and center of gravity properties deliver high launch with low spin for explosive distance. - ZATECH Titanium with Twist Face – The Twist Face design overcomes inherent player mishit tendencies on an ultra-strong face material to accelerate ball speeds from a greater impact area. - Multi-Material Construction – Built with a light carbon crown, titanium body and steel sole plate merges a multitude of materials to deliver low center of gravity launch performance with high MOI (moment of inertia or, in other words, resistance to twisting), stability and forgiveness. - Thru-Slot Speed Pocket – Increasing face flexibility to maintain ball speeds over more of the face, Thru-Slot Speed Pockets are engineered into the sole to proliferate distance on even low mishits.

The V Steel™ material in this club along with the multi-material construction to get a low center of gravity (CG)... this club is waiting for you to launch it like a missile into the fairway. The weight has been redistributed again to reach ultra-low CG and max forgiveness, plus the turf interaction, to deliver a solid strike on the ball. The Fairway has the TaylorMade (TM) twist face technology to assist when you hit high on the toe or low on the heel, the head is slightly bigger with 190 CC (can provide more confidence at address), and the face is make from high strength C300 steel.

The SIM2 Max D also has a slightly higher ball flight than the SIM2 Max, and a slightly larger head (195cc vs 190cc). Standard shaft is the Fujikura AirSpeeder shaft for high launch, and Golf Pride Z grip.

Taylormade's mantra on this club is "we took the CG lower to take you higher" — so if you struggle getting height out of the fairway on your current woods, this would be a great option!

Great for both off the tee and off the deck in the fairway! The high launch emphasis will allow you to get it off the deck high, and QUICKLY!

The profile of this will make it easier for consistent contact. With the weighting low and back, it will produce much better ball flight with a lot better spin control.
