This club can help maintain ball speeds off a large area of the face and can slow down slice spin through draw-bias weighting. The V Steel™ material in this club along with the multi-material construction to get a low center of gravity (CG)... this club is waiting for you to launch it like a missile into the fairway. The weight has been redistributed again to reach ultra-low CG and max forgiveness, plus the turf interaction, to deliver a solid strike on the ball. The Fairway has the TaylorMade (TM) twist face technology to assist when you hit high on the toe or low on the heel, the head is slightly bigger with 190 CC (can provide more confidence at address), and the face is make from high strength C300 steel.
The SIM2 Max D also has a slightly higher ball flight than the SIM2 Max, and a slightly larger head (195cc vs 190cc). Standard shaft is the Fujikura AirSpeeder shaft for high launch, and Golf Pride Z grip.
