The all new Duke PT 12 (DIN 4-12) combines the performance of a Squire with comfortable uphill properties of a pin binding. An absolute highlight is the innovative Ride & Hike toe. For walking mode the upper part is simply unlocked and tilted forward, uncovering the pin binding. To save swing weight the upper jaw part can be taken off and stored in a backpack. The multi functional Lock & Walk unit automatically locks the brakes and provides a 10° climbing aid. For downhill mode the front jaw section is clicked back onto the base plate, quadruple secured by the Auto Quad Lock technology. Now the toe piece works just like an alpine toe with all of its advantages! The heel is the latest generation of lightweight Hollow Linkage heels. The low height of 24 mm allows for direct power transmission and fast edge changes. Thanks to Sole.ID all Duke PT are compatible to alpine, touring and GripWalk boots.

The Marker Duke PT 12 is for the resort skiers who want to explore the backcountry or slack country. The Duke PT's are fairly straightforward and can even be used for just normal resort skiing. The bindings give the skier the option for a big day out to just a couple of runs on the resort which is... Read more
Ideal for
  • Durability and beefiness allows for reliability and peace of mind on the slopes
  • Lighter weight on the uphill compared to other hybrid bindings when taking the toe piece off
  • Easy use with some practice and straightforward performance that is consistent
Not ideal for
  • Can be annoying to have the alpine toe on when touring and sometimes I worry about losing the alpine toe.
  • Relatively heavy compared to other hybrid or tech bindings, but the durability is unmatched.

These bindings are perfect for those who want either a binding that can work in the resort or the backcountry or just a beefy binding for the backcountry. The PT 12 is every bit as reliable as the 16, just a little bit lighter for those who don't need all 16 DINs. I've loved this binding for backcountry because the... Read more

I have had this binding for a few years now, and I have very few complaints about it. The only real complaint I have about it is that is a bit heavy for a touring ski because it is pretty much a standard downhill binding when you go downhill. One thing that they have done to make this binding lighter... Read more

Great bindings

Posted on Dec 22, 2023
A little on the heavy side for touring, but work great for either back country or the resort.

Doesn't get advertised rise, brake lock also unlocks while climbing and makes riser fall.

Originally posted at markerbindings.com on Apr 12, 2023
Measured the actual rise to be 8.4 degrees when engaged, as compared to my F12 tour bindings with a healthy 14 degrees. Also, the brake lock comes unlocked during climbing. I thought maybe I had bent it somehow, so I bought new brakes, but these had the same problem. The lock just barely hooks to the metal plate below, so it takes very little to unlock it and when that happens, your heel riser rotates backwards and doesn't stay up. With such poor uphill performance, I'm not sure I understand the point of these. Trying out the Kingpins now, the rear end seems to be designed much better, using a different system to lock the brake down and decent heel rise for climbing. It's almost like if you could have the front of the Duke PT with the rear of the Kingpin...then you'd be getting somewhere...

Erik was great!
5 /5
Erik was very helpful in assisting me to pick out my first pair of skis and ski bindings! I am an intermediate-level skier but have always used rental skis, so when looking to buy my own, I didn't have much of a knowledge-base. Erik was very helpful in answering my questions and with narrowing down which skis would be a good fit for me, taking into consideration my height/weight, skill level, skiing strengths and weaknesses, and price range. Thank you very much, Erik!

This was my first time buying snow sport gear of any kind. Tyler used the information I gave him to give me some really great choices and get me all set up with a board, bindings, and a helmet. He was very responsive to my questions and had recommendations for sizes and settings that I would not have been able to figure out on my own. He was great!

Tyler was super helpful!

Tyler made great recommendations and really took the time to understand where my skill level is at and where I intend to ski. Ultimately, I was uncomfortable making the investment without trying the skis first, so I ended up buying a pair that I had rented several times and really liked. I had so many questions and came very close to purchasing skis a few months ago but now I that I have nearly finished this season I have a better idea of what I was looking for!

Nico helped me decide what length Atomic Mavens to get and bindings. He helped me decide that these skis will work on East Coast ice and Jackson Hole powder. I wish Curated was sticking around because it's such a great service. My cousin bought skis bindings and boots last year with curated and is stoked.

Tyler helped to reassure me on the board I have been eying, while also suggesting the best options for boots and bindings; he never tried to push the most expensive option, but rather gave me a number of choices to consider for myself (and in fact, recommended a cheaper boot option than the one I went with!). He was a great help and I feel confident that he helped me make a solid purchase.

I was looking at updating my board and was just looking around. After a quick chat with John to narrow down which board to pick, he made it easier than going into a store. He helped out with an additional discount that no other website could beat. Too hard to pass up a great deal, I bought the board and bindings. Cheers to debuting it before the season ends!

She knew exactly what I was looking for...
5 /5
I already knew what skis I was trying to find, based on the conditions I wanted to ski and also based on my skill level. Not only did she recommend the exact skis that I had been looking for, but she also recommended a better set of bindings than the ones I had previously thought were a good fit. I love that she's a neighbor over in VT while I'm in NH, so she knows East Coast (Ice Coast) skiing like I do. I'm so excited for the deal I just landed on brand new 2025 skis, and I have Shannon to thank for helping me narrow down the perfect fit. I'm just so sad to hear this amazing company is closing its doors, but while the deals are good and before they go, I will be recommending them to everyone I know! Thanks again, Shannon! Happy skiing!

Noah helped me tremendously. I kind of knew what I wanted but by asking the right questions, he helped point me in the best direction for my changing skill level and age and kind of terrain I'd be skiing more since moving to a different state. He took everything into account. He gave me choices for each item I wanted---skis, bindings, poles---and put together a perfect curation! I'm super stoked to be able to take advantage of the discounts of course, but I never would've been able to do that or even find such great equipment without Noah's help!
