The Lamson Cobalt Spool is designed to be a spare spool for use with the Lamson Cobalt spool. Built from machined aluminum, this spool is lightweight yet strong. Available in 4 sizes, this reel covers fly rod weights of 5-13. Fly anglers who fish for large(r) game fish and want a second spool to hold a different fly line would use this.

- Imbedded Counterweight – The spool is purposely machined with asymmetry to provide counterweight balance for the reel.
- Super Arbor – The enhanced large arbor of the spool allows for quicker line pick up and helps reduce line memory.
