The Daiwa Procyon AL LT Spinning Reel is a freshwater or inshore spinning reel. Made from an aluminum body, this reel is light and tough (LT), as well as corrosion resistant. The 6 BB + 1 roller bearing configuration keeps the reel operating smoothly with 5.2:1, 5.3:1 or 6.2:1 gear ratio options. ABS spool technology allows the reel to have increased casting distance without sacrificing accuracy. Digigear technology ensures tight meshing of the gears. Conventional anglers would use this.
Key Features:
- Air Bail – The hollow tubular aluminum bail is rigid and helps with line management.
- ATD Drag System – The smooth drag enables anglers to fight larger fish and can exert up to 26.4 lbs.
- Digigear Technology – The gears are digitally designed to allow for tight meshing of the drive and pinion gears, for increased speed and power.

If you're looking for a great Daiwa reel, give this series a try! It's an aluminum frame, which is lightweight and strong body construction. Daiwa has also put their Tournament Drag system in, which allows for excellent hook sets and great strength when fighting fish. This reel is a bit larger than comparable Shimano reels, but will still be a good fit for 10lb. braid.

This reel is excellent for fishing multiple species in many different aquatic environments ranging from shallow to deep. It is an especially good choice for a beginner or angler that doesn't want to necessarily break the bank to afford quality gear. It gets the job done with smooth, strong, and quiet performance.

Great all-around bass reel. On the retrieves, it gives you fine control that you won't find in most reels. Its drag system stays adjusted well over time and allows you to control runs with fine control. Workmanship is excellent for the price point and this rod will do well when constantly wet, for example, when fishing from a kayak. It's perfect for topwaters and worms.
