These Coastal Salt Pro rods are designed to cast far and accurately into the surf, and the X Tube pattern on their blanks makes them extremely strong and durable against heavy-pulling fish. The full-grip, foam handle provides a comfortable and large surface area to grip onto while fighting fish. This also makes it easier to switch hand positions while under stress. The fast action of these rods makes it possible to use a variety of lures to catch fish (jigs, spoons, plugs, etc.), or to use baits on or near the bottom. The medium model of this series functions best when paired with line between 10 and 20 lb. monofilament or 20-50 lb. braid, and it can toss weights between 1 and 4 oz. effectively.
