I actually got these for a buddy of mine. He was using kirkland irons for awhile, but wanted a nice upgrade. We got him these irons and he has been happy ever since. He loves the feel and forgiveness that these irons provide him.

A customer was looking for a set of irons that looked good, and felt good. They were also looking for added distance with their irons, as well as an exceptional amount of forgiveness. All of these qualities can be difficult to find in a single iron, but the Srixon ZX5 checks all of those boxes, and left this customer in specific, extremely happy.

Working for Curated, I have many leads that come in only having a general sense of what they are looking for. Some people on the other hand know what they want, and they won't be swayed. One lead in particular sticks in my mind. A certain young man was assigned to me and wanted only 1 thing... a set of Taylormade P-770's. After some questioning ensued, I was sure that he fit better into a bit more forgiving iron. My recommendation, the Srixon ZX5's. The difference in Srixon's ZX5 and ZX7 irons is very simple. The ZX5's have a little bit thicker topline, larger profile at address, and has more forgiveness and distance than the ZX7. The ZX7's are going to be more similar to your standard blade, they have less forgiveness and distance than the ZX5's, but more workability and a smaller, more compact look at address.

There are a couple slight differences between the Srixon ZX5 and ZX7 irons. The ZX5 iron set features a thin topline, a slightly elongated blade, wide sole, and increased offset. These features make the ZX5's slightly more forgiving than the ZX7 set. The ZX7 iron set has an equally thin topline, and a more compact head shape and reduced offset, making it slightly less forgiving overall. It is recommended that high handicappers stay away from Srixon's ZX5 irons. They not only have a somewhat small, compact look at address with a pretty thin topline, but they have much less forgiveness and distance than what you can find in a cavity back. These irons would be very intimidating and hard to hit for a higher handicap player.
