Explosive distance and ball speed off the face, forgiveness from any turf condition, and the crisp sound you get off the face, make this fairway wood perfect for a variety of players. Very solid feel and sound on impact make any player want to take this out of the bag whenever the shot allows it.
Higher handicap golfers will get forgiveness from the split rail on the bottom that glide through the turf to create easy launch. The hot face and low spin will create longer straighter shots to make their approach easier.
Lower handicap players will love the low spin to get that added roll and the versatility to hit out of all areas of the course with the split rail on the bottom of the head.
The experience I have with this club from using it the past year is the way it performs out of different areas of the course. In the deep rough I have gotten solid contact with the infinity face transitioning onto the crown. The split rails on the bottom allow the head to move smoothly through the turf for less of a chance to twist and drag. I have been really impressed with the solid feel and pure sound on impact. It feels like the ball is getting shot out of the back of the heel as the ball compresses against the solid face.
Lacking distance, forgiveness, or a pure sound on impact, look no further than the Cobra Radspeed fairway wood.
- Explosive distance with the CNC milled infinity face which creates a pure sound.
- Very forgiving with the split rails to move through any turf condition for easy launch.
- Awesome feel on impact making it feel like the ball shoots from the heel of the head.
- Not the best for shot shaping as the head is larger and low spin.
- Drop in ball speed on off center hits.
- Matte finished crown so if preference is shiny this club does not have that.
The Cobra RadSpeed Fairway is designed for mid-handicap golfers needing a fairway wood that provides high launch and forgiveness on mishits to ensure more shots stay on their targeted path. A traditional shape squares the ball well to impart confidence, while an adjustable hosel system locks in preferred ball flights to work to correct certain swing errors.
Key Features:
- Front-Biased Radial Weighting – Front internal Rad weighting and 7 grams of back weight create a balance of high launch and ultra-low spin for maximum forgiveness.
- CNC Milled Face – Using a milling process, 5 times more precise than hand polishing, enables more consistent face thicknesses to ensure the fastest ball speeds.
- Hollow Split Rails – Creating more flex on the sole behind the face, Hollow Split Rails in the front of the club deliver higher launch and more ball speed.
- Thin-Ply Carbon Crown – A thin, light carbon fiber material in the crown allows more weight to be moved forward to lower spin and promote penetrating ball flights.
