Product details

The TaylorMade Women's SIM2 Max Irons are designed for a wide array of mid level players demanding a game improving iron. The SIM2 is built with explosive face technologies to impart accelerated ball speeds for deep distance. Shot correcting attributes in the iron construction straighten out ball flights and launch low mishits on the face with consistency.

Key Features:

  • Cap Back Design – Providing stability within the topline from heel to toe and enhancing the sound and feel, a Cap Back Design utilizes a multi-material construction crafted from a lightweight polymer.
  • Thru-Slot Speed Pocket – Working in conjunction with the Cap Back Design, maximizing face flexibility for increased ball speeds and enhancing forgiveness on low mishits on the face, a Thru-Slot Speed Pocket is built into the sole of the iron.
  • ECHO Dampening System – Fully encapsulated in the club, a soft polymer blend with multiple contact points on the club face channel away unwanted vibrations for a smooth sounds and feel.
  • Progressive ICT – Along with a fast and forgiving face, uniquely positioned ICT (Inverted Cone Technology) optimizes the expanded sweet spot to minimize the right side miss and maximize accuracy.

I had the opportunity to hit and play TaylorMade SIM2 Max Irons numerous times. They are hands down one of the most forgiving and easiest irons on the market to hit.

Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
Are TaylorMade Sim 2 irons high handicappers?
The TaylorMade SIM2 Irons, as well as the TaylorMade SIM2 Max, SIM2 Max OS, and women's SIM2 Max, and SIM2 Max OS, are designed for high handicappers. With high levels of forgiveness, the clubs are meant for those who need some extra help. This is made possible by the draw basis on each of the sets of irons, with the SIM2 Max OS having the largest amount of draw basis and forgiveness. Therefore, they are designed for high handicappers.

What is the difference between TaylorMade SIM 2 and SIM 2 Max Irons?
Both the TaylorMade Sim2 and TaylorMade Sim2 Max irons have the same technology to promote high ball speeds and high launch. The TaylorMade Sim2 Max irons has a wider sole, stronger loft, and a draw bias that will favor golfers with a slice tendency while looking for greater distance over those playing the TaylorMade Sim 2 irons.

The TaylorMade Women's SIM2 Max Irons are recommended for mid-level players seeking an iron set to improve both distance and accuracy. Developed after years of advancing technologies aimed to deliver low mishit launch to keep even thin shots achieving the proper launch angles, these irons are also built to provide players a soft and solid sound and feel at impact. A slight offset design along with stronger lofts and hot faces produce deep and controllable distance from many impact points all over the face.
