= Callaway's most comprehensive wedge line-up. Groove-in-Groove Technology also adds to the Jaws MD5 wedge's ability to achieve tour-level spin.
An ideal wedge for low to mid handicap players needing a high performing wedge with exceptionally soft feel, progressive players shaping, and specific bounce and grind options to match their accomplished short game technique. Roger Cleveland continues his collaboration with the Callaway wedge team, improving their Groove-in-Groove technology along with aggressive Jaws grooves to provide 84 different contact points for incredible spin. Available in lofts from 46 to 64 degrees with 3 appropriate bounce and 5 specific grind options, along with True Temper Tour 115gram steel or Project X Catalyst 80gram graphite shafts, allow players to dial in the perfect wedge setup for how they perform greenside shots.
The MD5 with the 10 degree bounce is good for the normal to firmer conditions you're accustomed to. So as you begin playing golf in the spring in more normal conditions, and progressing through the summer as turf dries and gets firmer, you'll get consistent performance throughout the season. Great for chipping from tight lies or hitting high flop shots, and high spin approach shots. The hyper-aggressive "Jaws" groove design gives maximum allowable spin in USGA specifications.
Callaway says the grooves on their new JAWS MD5 wedges are the most aggressive in the game, and produce more spin over the previous MD4 thanks to a new groove-wall design that is 32º greater in angle than the previous model. This allows for the grooves to catch the ball cleaner and add to spin.
This is a great wedge for those with a low- to mid- handicap. The specifications can be changed to fit your needs, but the 10 degree bounce and S grind offer the most versatility on both soft courses and firmer courses. The new groove design also generates plentiful amounts of spin.
