Honestly not a great wedge. Could have been that i had a shaft i wasn't used to in it, but i have never player more poorly with a wedge. I would recommend trying out pretty much anything else over the jaws. It wasn't for me and i am a low handicap, it probably wont be for you.

Pros
  • Looks cool
  • Great weight
  • Fast through impact
Cons
  • Dont miss

This wedge is for low to mid handicappers.

It is a blade-style wedge for the advanced player. I would not recommend this for new or high handicap golfers. There's plenty of versatility for shots around the green. The feel is solid and just soft enough to create favorable feedback on chips.

The Callaway MD5 is for the player who likes to spin the ball; it's a pleasure to use this wedge around the greens.

Pros
  • Around the green, the MD5 is versatile.
  • The feel is soft and solid.
  • The launch is consistently high or low on demand.
Cons
  • Lack of forgiveness.
  • Full shot swings do not feel natural and require more effort.

Are Callaway Jaws MD5 wedges forged?
Callaway MD5 wedges are forged from 1025 carbon steel. They provide a high spin rate and can check up on the green very quickly. Aimed at mid to low handicap level golfers. The sweet spot is small and not too forgiving, but the feel is solid and gives confidence on every shot. These are very effective around the green and chips. Takes a bit more effort for full swings. Should be a top consideration if you a golfer who is looking for a blade-style wedge.

Are JAWS wedges forgiving?
The wedges are forgiving, to a point. These are blade style wedges so forgiveness is not the top priority. There is a small sweet spot which provides a soft feel and sound. If a player is looking for forgiveness these wedges would not be an option. The main objective to these wedges is spin, and they perform to the highest level.
