The Curated Take

The Callaway Mavrik Pro Hybrid is perfect for the better player that is looking for a very accurate hybrid that does not have a strong ballflight bias. Easy to launch the ball off most lies. Easy to work the ball left or right, high or low. Not for the higher handicap player who is looking for forgiveness.

Product details

The Callaway Mavrik Pro Hybrid is designed for more accomplished players demanding the launch a hybrid provides, with a neutral to fade flight bias to target either side of the golf course. Technologies in the hybrid ramp up ball speeds off a large area of the clubface, while the compact shaping appeals to the lower handicap golfer. Key Features:

  • A.I. Designed Face - A specialized face architecture is designed in each hybrid loft using Artificial Intelligence Technology.
  • Flash Face SS20 - Combined with Jailbreak bars to strengthen the hitting zone, the SS20 high-strength steel face material further fortifies the hitting area, for exceptionally high ball speeds.
  • Deep CG - Improving speed along with stability, a low center of gravity (CG) position promotes dependable launch, carry, and soft landings to perform as a hybrid should.
  • Player Preferred Profile - Constructed in a compact shape with a shallow face and a cambered sole for a fairway wood-like look.

Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
What is difference between Mavrik and Mavrik Max hybrid?
The difference between the Mavrik and Mavrik Max Hybrids are the amount of forgiveness they offer. Both are designed to be forgiving, but the Mavrik Max offers a slightly oversized face and club head.

Is mavrik Pro Hybrid forgiving?
If you are a beginner, then the Mavrik Pro hybrid will not be forgiving for you. The regular Mavrik hybrid will be a better choice since it's slightly offset, has a bigger face, and is generally designed to launch the ball higher. If you are a single digit handicap, then you'll find the Mavrik Pro Hybrid to be much more forgiving than trying to hit a 3 iron. If you miss the ball slightly on the toe with this hybrid, you'll get much better distance and ball flight than if you had the same miss with a long iron.

What is the difference between the Mavrik and the mavrik Pro hybrids?
The Callaway Mavrik Pro hybrids are different from the regular Mavrik hybrids because they have a smaller face, less sole on the bottom of the club, they are not offset, and they have more weight towards the face of the club. The Pro hybrids are not as easy to hit or forgiving, but they allow better players to control their shot shape.
