Product details

Callaway's Apex® Hybrid 2019 is designed for lower-handicap players seeking a long iron replacement that achieves targeted trajectories and allows players to work ball flights to either side of the fairway or green. A neutral flight bias works in conjunction with a compact shaping to offer highly skilled players reliable launch from distance in a classically designed hybrid. Key Features:

  • Precision Shaping – Appealing to better players, the shaping also produces a neutral bias ball flight able to be manipulated in either direction for optimum shaping.
  • Jailbreak Technology – Introduced in an Apex Hybrid for the first time, Jailbreak bars stiffen the body to allow more impact load on the face to promote accelerated ball speeds and distance.
  • Forged Face Cup – This is made from a Carpenter 455 Steel to maintain ball speeds from impact across the clubface.

The Callaway Apex Hybrid 2019 (also known as the Apex 19 hybrid) is a good hybrid golf club for any handicap and skill level. I find it very consistent off the tee as well as, on the fairway and rough. It offers a well-balanced head/face and provides confidence when looking down at address.

Are Callaway Apex good for high handicappers?
Any model of the Apex clubs, whether it be the 19s or 21s, or even the DCBs are not for the high handicapper. I would recommend the Rogue or Mavrik over the Apex everyday.

Is the Apex hybrid forgiving?
The Callaway Apex Hybrid is in the long line of hybrids that is designed for the lower handicap players. It allows you to shape the ball left and right with its aggressive lie and loft. It is not mean't for the higher handicap player.

The Apex 19 is a players hybrid with a blend of work-ability and solid forgiveness. It's designed to appeal to better players and tour pros with little to no offset and making it easier to work the ball and control the ball flight. It's equipped with Callaway's Jailbreak technology which is basically two bars behind the face of the club that help create faster ball speeds at impact. It also features Face Cup Technology that is designed to increase ball speeds from a larger portion of the clubface.

One of Callaway's best choices in hybrids. Dependable, workable, and long. Great feeling club and great from any course condition.

A great hybrid that is forgiving but also allows for easy shot shaping if required. The club face is a little but hotter than your standard iron so it may be a great gap between your 3 wood and iron set!

Great turf interaction. Makes it easy to launch the ball higher with more spin for better accuracy and stopping power when you need it.
