Sim2 Max Draw is what it says it is, a fairway that helps correct hitting fades/slices, very forgiving, and easy to launch. When hit just stock shots off the tee or grass, it flew high, and if I missed, it was to the left (I am right handed). I think this would be a great club to test for a lot of golfers who struggle to hit fairways, it gets in the air easy from the tee, grass, or rough. It is not very workable, either side to side or low to high, however, that is not who this club is for, this is for the golfer looking to find a fairway they can be confident with hitting straight shots.
- Draws, this offset caused this club to be slightly closed which helps correct a fade miss
- Forgiveness, this is Taylormades most forgiving fairway
- Launch, being offset and the size of the head, this launches the ball high quickly
- Workability, this club isnt made to hit balls straight, not supposed to be workable
The TaylorMade SIM2 Max Draw Fairway Wood is built to benefit mid to high-handicap golfers who require a high launching fairway wood with confluent technologies aimed to provide consistently smooth turf interaction. This club can help maintain ball speeds off a large area of the face and can slow down slice spin through draw-bias weighting.
Key Features:
- V Steel with Ultra-Low CG – Constructed with an 80-gram V Steel sole improves turf interaction and versatility at impact, while tour-inspired shaping and center of gravity properties deliver high launch with low spin for explosive distance.
- ZATECH Titanium with Twist Face – The Twist Face design overcomes inherent player mishit tendencies on an ultra-strong face material to accelerate ball speeds from a greater impact area.
- Multi-Material Construction – Built with a light carbon crown, titanium body and steel sole plate merges a multitude of materials to deliver low center of gravity launch performance with high MOI (moment of inertia or, in other words, resistance to twisting), stability and forgiveness.
- Thru-Slot Speed Pocket – Increasing face flexibility to maintain ball speeds over more of the face, Thru-Slot Speed Pockets are engineered into the sole to proliferate distance on even low mishits.
