The Curated Take
The TaylorMade MG2 wedge is a great mid-priced wedge that fits mid to high handicapped players game styles. The raw face is designed to rust and produce more friction. The head is lighter in weight than other competing wedges on the market. Combined with a high quality ball, the wedge will produce a good amount of spin around the green and also is good for full swings. However, standard bounces and lofts are not always a great combination for players that may be in wetter climates. The grooves will require sharpening and cleaning regularly.

- Made for green side chips
- Spin control on green side chips
- Grooves and grip deteriorate quickly

The TaylorMade Milled Grind 2 Chrome Wedge was designed for golfers looking for precision, balance, and a great feeling wedge. It combines precision-milling with RAW Face Technology designed for increased spin, precision, and feel. Due to the construction and materials of this wedge, the face is designed to rust over time while the rest of the wedge maintains its chrome finish.
RAW Face Technology – The ZTP RAW Groove Design is engineered for more greenside spin with sharper, narrower, and deeper grooves in the face, as well as laser etching for steeper side walls.
Milled Grind Sole – Advanced surface milling technology ensures precise sole grind, leading edge profiles, and score lines which results in optimal turf interaction and consistent performance.
Thick-Thin Head Design – Optimized CG (Center of Gravity) location, center-low on the face is strategically positioned for precise flight and enhanced feel.
TPU Insert – The TPU Insert in the back cavity of the wedge is designed to provide vibration dampening for a positive feel at impact.
Dual Grind Options – Low Bounce Grind (LB) is ideal for firm conditions and shallow attack angle while providing the least amount of ground resistance. Standard Bounce Grind (SB) is the most common option for most conditions and swing types.
