The Squire is the model is one of the most popular models you'll find as a demo ski binding so I appreciate the consistent baseline it gives me when taking out new skis and pushing them to the max. It's one I can confidently put a wide range of skiers on and know they're going to get exactly what the want from it.

The user-friendliness and longevity of it, makes it a great choice for just about anyone outside of very heavier skiers or aggressive experts.

The Marker Squire has been a gold standard in 11 DIN bindings for as long as I can remember. It's been largely unchanged for the better part of a decade and it's a binding that stands up to hard use for many years. It's not uncommon to have this binding out live a pair of skis and be remounted on the next pair.

I wouldn't use "better control" when describing the stack height of bindings - and for most stack height isn't something you need to be too worried about (with the exception of ski racers). The Triple Pivot Toe itself won’t stop ice and snow from entering the binding. However the Ice Rail on the front provides the option to knock ice and snow off the soles of your boots before clicking in. This option comes on both The Marker Squire and the Marker Griffon bindings.
