Product details

Titleist 2021 U505 Utility Iron Graphite Shaft is for a variety of lower handicap players demanding more control and distance from their long iron game without sacrificing looks and feel. The iron delivers explosive launch with outstanding versatility, and a finely crafted utility iron achieves consistent ball flights from a deeper distance.

  • Forged L-Face – A thin forged L-Face covering a hollow body configuration with a core support structure ensures dynamic speed generation with a nice feel and sound at impact.
  • D18 Tungsten Weights – Housed within an aerospace construction, allowing for a precise center of gravity placement, dense tungsten sliding towards the heel enhances launch dynamics for consistent ball flights.
  • Tour Input Shaping – Following tour player critique, a shorter blade length, shallow face, and a wide sole visually flow with the rest of the irons in the bag while maintaining optimum versatility.
  • Engineered Muscle Plate – Helping to tune vibrations and acoustics, a Muscle Plate design constructed into the club also allows weight to be shifted for a precise center of gravity location.

Are utility irons forgiving?
Utility irons are a common interest for most golfers. They tend to be fairly forgiving to help get the ball in play off of a tight tee shot and with the larger style head they are able to move the center of gravity further from the face which makes them forgiving.

Are utility irons worth it?
If you are considering a utility iron, they are worth it. Wider soles for extra forgiveness, lighter shafts for better feel and launch. Getting performance that long irons can't offer.
