Product details

The Burton Cartel X EST Snowboard Bindings are meant for intermediate to advanced riders who like to ride hard and fast all day long. IMPORTANT NOTE: All Burton EST series bindings are only compatible with Burton’s The Channel™ Mounting System.

Key Features:

  • EST® Binding System – The materials under the riders feet are replaced with cushioning to reduce weight.
  • Medium/Stiff Flex – This binding flex is good for charging hard and fast while not being too stiff.
  • Single Component Construction Highback – These highbacks are made of one solid piece of material, which provides more response.
  • Smooth Glide™ Buckles – Lightweight buckles made of aluminum and polycarbonate that are smooth strapping and long lasting.
  • Hammockstrap™ 2.0 – Simply designed ankle strap that cradles riders boots for a truly secure fit, the new version is paired with Burton’s Smooth Glide™ buckles and a thinner profile for even more comfort.

Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
Who is this product good for?
The Burton Cartel X EST is the perfect binding for the intermediate to advanced rider who's looking for a medium flex binding. This binding is not ultra-stiff, but the high back and the cushioned footbed provide all day comfort for the rider who's looking to ride fast and hard. These bindings are only compatible Burton's proprietary channel system. With the channel system, 2 screws mount on the outside of the footbed which makes for extremely easy adjustments with a rider's foot in the binding. The binding is available in a non-EST option, but the marriage of these bindings to a Burton channel board is the most ideal setup. The Burton name means high quality, super smooth buckle operation with plenty of options to get proper fit and adjustment. The Burton Cartel is an excellent all mountain option and recommended by top snow boarders throughout the world.

Slightly stiffer version of the original Cartel, better for all-mountain riding and excellent response. Insanely comfortable too.

Great for all riding styles. Support, flow and flex for anywhere on the hill.

The classic Cartel name, reimagined with a bit stiffer flex, features, and a few goodies thrown in. A bit stiffer than the traditional Cartel gives this a more responsive feel for all-mountain and freeriding where you want ultimate control without weighing you down. A 45 percent nylon/glass baseplate that acts like carbon fiber without the cost. B3 gel in the heel and alongside the high back to give you ultimate grip to reduce strapping down too tight. Dual component buckles and added silicon inside the toe strap round out the features.
