The Smith Vantage MIPS Helmet is designed for skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels and provides them with excellent head protection. This helmet has numerous technical features including Zonal Koroyd™ coverage and MIPS® energy-absorbing impact protection. The Smith Vantage MIPS Helmet has multiple vents for airflow and is designed to integrate with Smith Goggles.
Key Features:
- MIPS – This is a system designed to protect the brain by reducing rotational forces that occur when there is an angled impact on the head.
- Koroyd – This material keeps the helmet lightweight and provides impact protection.
- BOA Fit System – This is located on the back of the base of the helmet and gives the user the ability to customize the fit by turning the dial to the desired tightness to ensure a secure fit.

Can’t put a price on your brain!!
Originally posted at www.smithoptics.com on Mar 5, 2025This helmet is top notch. Recently took a nasty fall at high speeds and hit the back of my head hard on some ice while snowboarding. The foam cracked in the helmet as designed when hitting your head as hard as I did. Left with some whiplash and a sore back but no concussion. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Would absolutely recommend this helmet to family and friends, can’t put a price on your head!!

Originally posted at www.smithoptics.com on Feb 15, 2025I have a known big head. I wear fitted hats at size 7 7/8 to 8. I measured my head at just over 61 cm. I read that these helmets run small, so I went with the XL for 63-67 cm heads. Not a chance I can wear this, even with nothing underneath, such as a balaclava. It seems like the quoted sizes are without the padding installed into the helmet. It’s a shame, because I really like the style of it.
