Overall, the Mind Expander is a fantastic powder-oriented, all-mountain board. A true directional with a wide nose generates tons of effortless float and control in deep powder. The short tail really helps this as well, preventing sinking into the deep snow. I've had mine in 4 feet of powder and did not know until my friend's road up next to me and sunk. This board is a great volume-shifted (designed to be ridden shorter than your usual sized board), directional board.
However: while marketed as an alternative all-mountain board, I will never use this board outside of a powder day. It can cruise groomers nicely, but carving and stability are rough. The rocker profile makes it tougher to maintain stable speed, and having that bigger nose does make it uncomfortable to carve, for sure some getting used to. As a powder board, it's for sure excellent but using it as a 1-board-to-do it-all type approach, I would recommend other options.

The Jones Mind Expander Snowboard is a freeride/powder focused board, designed for intermediate to advanced riders. Key Features:
- Directional Shape – Designed to be ridden in one direction, the shape of the tip and tail of the board are not symmetrical.
- Full Rocker Profile – The nose rocker starts just inside of the front inserts and the tail rocker starts just at the back inserts. - Mid Range Flex Rating – 6/10 flex makes this board very versatile; soft enough to be playful, stiff enough to be stable.
- 2x4 Insert Patterns – This snowboard is compatible with most disc mounted bindings.

- Not capable of being a Daily Driver
- Floats like an absolute dream on powder days.
- Surfy cruiser that likes long drawn out carves.
- Stable feel underfoot that is fairly forgiving with the full rocker profile.
- This board isn't meant for park riding, its directional and more freeride focused.
- Fully rockered profile gets a little chattery on super icy days but overall carving experience is solid.
