Who would love these

These bindings are perfect for intermediate to advanced riders who love all-mountain adventures. If you enjoy carving through groomers, exploring tree runs, or venturing into backcountry lines, these are for you. However, if your focus is on park tricks or jibbing, you might want to consider a softer option. The Cartel EST is designed for those who prioritize precision and control, offering a seamless connection to the board. Just remember, they're compatible only with Burton boards, so make sure your setup matches. If you're ready to take your riding to the next level, these bindings won't disappoint.

Expert verdict

The Burton Cartel EST Snowboard Bindings are a game-changer for those who crave control and precision on the slopes. With a medium-stiff flex, these bindings offer a perfect balance of stability and responsiveness, making them ideal for tackling challenging terrains. The SensoryBED cushioning system ensures a smooth ride, while the Hinge Hi-Back allows for natural board flex, enhancing your maneuverability. The Hammock 2.0 Ankle Strap provides a secure fit, keeping you locked in during those intense runs. However, if you're more into park or jibbing, you might find these a bit too stiff. Overall, they're a solid choice for all-mountain adventurers looking to elevate their ride.

The Burton Cartel is a medium-stiff flex binding that is designed to maximize stability, control, and connection to the board. These bindings are the perfect tool to stay in command during all of the rider’s biggest lines.

Key Features:

  • SensoryBED Cushioning System – This cushioning system provides the rider with a comfortable ride and a great connection to the board.
  • Hinge Hi-Back – The Hinge hi-back is constructed to flex with the rider and increase the rider’s ability to manipulate and use the flex of the board.
  • Smooth Glide Buckles – High-quality buckles are easy to secure, super durable, and ultra-strong.
  • Hammock 2.0 Ankle Strap – This ankle strap is super strong and very low profile. It locks the rider into the binding better than almost every other ankle strap.

The Burton Cartel EST is a high quality all-mountain binding for the snowboarder who is strictly a Burton board rider. Overall it is a damp, responsive binding with great board feel and super easy adjustable features like the EST system mounting screws, which are located outside the footbed and enable angle adjustments down to a micro level. The Burton Cartel EST has been in the game for a long time, and there is a reason for that. This binding is stiff, durable, comfortable, and does it all. It is one of the best bindings out on the market today. This binding performs great in the park when trying to Ollie and jibbing on rails. One of the lightest highest performing bindings... Read more

Feel great!

So far so good. I wear an 8.5 boot. The suggested medium binding were way too big for the 8.5. Toe strap was so loose and ankles straps were maxed out. I exchanged for a small binding and it’s perfect. If you do decide to go with a medium binding size 9 and up ask for a free small toe strap. The small toe strap fits better for smaller boots. Kat was so helpful!
5 /5
Kat was so patient with all my questions and truly helped me figure out what gear would work best for me! She recommended me a good couple of boards and went into detail on each one and what the different features were and how they’d benefit me. As someone who buys for looks and pretty colors, I’m glad I had help to be confident in my purchase for my ride style and experience level!

As someone buying skis for the first time, but having skied for a few years Leo was incredibly helpful! He took into account what I prioritized but also explained why a suggestion might be out of my initial request. For example, he got ahead of my question on why bindings are expensive and why it is important to not only focus on the skis but the bindings as well.

He has extensive knowledge, and was really able to find the perfect setup for me and my riding style as well as my bank account. Also was honest and kept me from making a purchase that I might regret. We talked for at least an hour and the whole time he was very helpful. All in all he really knows his stuff when it comes to getting you into the perfect set up. I highly recommend him. Thanks again Frankie.

Tyler was awesome!

I’ve been using a board from 2005 for the last 4 or so years now. Finally decided it was time to upgrade but had no idea of what to upgrade to. He asked what I was looking for, and ended up narrowing it down to exactly what I need/want, to further my skills. He’s very knowledgeable and approachable, and overall very friendly. Was nice talking to Tyler and I’m super stoked to get up on the mountain.
