I rode the NOW IPO's for most of the 2023 season, and I'm really impressed with them. I've ridden them in all sorts of conditions, from powder to East Coast Ice, even the terrain park, they've been a game changer for me! I would really only recommend these for intermediate to advanced riders. The skate tech baseplate provides more comfort, precision control, and makes initiating turns easier. They feel very different compared to traditional bindings, I would suggest taking the first few runs pretty slow just to feel them out and make some adjustments as needed. I found out the hard way on my first run with these, It can make catching an edge easier since they're so much more sensitive than the normal baseplates I've used. Once I could play around on them a bit and try out the other bushings, it was a night and day difference. Even when riding over a straight sheet of ice, I was locked in. I would NOT suggest these bindings to a beginner. Being a high-performance binding, they are very responsive even with the soft bushings installed. Beginner riders may have trouble learning how to switch to their heel and toe edges, these are not as forgiving as regular bindings and have much less room for error.
