What's cool about the Salomon QST LUX 92 Skis is that it's so all mountain. It's reinforced by carbon so it's a bit more lively and energetic. It has more directional shape, still rockered in the tip and tail for easy turns, but more stable in the carve and less washy and surfy than a true twin. I had these as my main ski, skiing in vail and I can just guarantee you're going to love them.

Absolutely! I've used both superfeet trim to fit insoles as well as $300 customs and I'll tell ya, a $50 pair of superfeet goes A LONG way to better fit.

The QST and the Kore are super similar just the head is a step up in quality. Either ski is great and won't overwhelm her at all. The lightness factor is fantastic for learning and they both initiate turns super easy which will help her gain confidence.

My top suggestion for you is definitely the Salomon QST 92 LUX. Salomon makes great gear and this past season they redid the QST and everyone was stoked on them all winter. They replaced some heavier materials with cork to both reduce the weight of the ski significantly AND give them some extra dampness... Basically the skis act as shock absorbers and help take a lot of blow off your knees.

The K2 Mindbender 90C Alliance Skis are going to be a little bit stiffer and a good bit heavier than the Salomon QST LUX 92 Skis as they have a dual sheet of metal running through them. Heavier skis make your legs work more and as the day/trip goes on, the mindbenders do wear on ya. Heavier skis also tend to be sluggish in pow.
