I’m truly stoked with the overall performance of this splitboard. The lightweight feel paired with the responsiveness is really solid for backcountry performance. Highly recommend for intermediate-advanced riders looking for a splitboard that handles well in a variety of conditions and excels in powder. I felt confident with my purchase because I was able to really rely on it in newer situations in the backcountry. The only time I felt this board wasn't great was when I was riding a sheet of ice through the trees so if you live on the east coast, I'd recommend a board with better edge technology for those types of conditions. The directional shape gives you plenty of float on the deeper days and the board itself doesn't feel too heavy.

- Backcountry splitboarding; skinning, backcountry riding, advanced terrain.
- Great for carving in deeper powder.
- Stable and lightweight splitboard.
Not ideal for
- Cannot be paired with Union Explorers bindings (not channel compatible)
- Not the best performance on super icy terrain.
The Burton Family Tree Hometown Hero Split Snowboard is for backcountry riders looking for a board geared towards deep powder performance that can ride hard and fast all over the mountain. I went to 3 different ski shops in my area and I was sized wrong, told certain brands were high quality when they weren’t, would have been paying to much and just put on a bad path overall. I was very nervous about buying my first pair of skis as they can be quite expensive and you want to get them right, however, as soon as I found curated and was paired with Hayden all the nervousness turned into pure excitement. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable about snowboarding in the west coast. Understands types of terrains and the type of board suited for the type of riding I like.
