The Mizuno JPX 921 Hot Metal Pro Iron set is an amazing set of irons. These irons are good for players that want a smaller head size and more feel, but still need the forgiveness a classic game improvement iron provides. Overall, they are a fantastic iron set that a player that shoots between 85-105 would benefit from. Overall, if a player needs distance, forgiveness, feel but not a clunky club, these are the best.

Pros
  • Very good forgiveness
  • Nice feel despite not being forged
  • Less offset but still forgiving.
Cons
  • Smaller head sizes
  • Not forged

What is the difference between the JPX 919 hot metal and hot metal pro?
The Mizuno JPX 921 Hot Metal is a perfect iron for high handicap golfers. This iron falls into the category of game improvement with a very large cavity back as well as additional offset to the face. The hot metal irons are perfect for giving more forgiveness and distance to a higher handicap golfer. The Hot metal pro however, is an even larger head and more forgiveness which falls into the super game improvement category.
