Snowboarders looking to expand their range of riding into the backcountry should check out the Salomon Speedway Split. It is super easy to use and the included precut Pomocoa skins make it easy to get out in the mountains right away. Plum connection clips are super easy to use and not as many breakable parts as other connecters. I've been on the Salomon Speedway for three seasons now and have loved it, after over 50 days of intense touring the board still looks pretty good and handles just as well as it did on day one.

- The lightweight construction of the board makes it quite flimsy in ski mode and can be hard to get solid traction on the skin track.
The Salomon Speedway Split Snowboard is a board designed with the intermediate to advanced backcountry rider in mind. With camber under the back foot and a directional shape, this board has explosive turns, as well as good powder float from flat segments under the front foot. This board has a stiffer more responsive flex, and is very stable at speeds.
Key Features:
- Backseat Camber – With camber under the back foot and a flat section at the nose, this board can be driven explosively from the back, with the flat to rocker section at the front providing float when conditions are deep.
- Ghost Green Core – This core is made of light paulownia wood, which is very lightweight and provides good pop and snap.
- Sintered EG – An upgraded sintered base, designed to be the best glide in all conditions, including fresh power and sticky spring snow.

I went to 3 different ski shops in my area and I was sized wrong, told certain brands were high quality when they weren’t, would have been paying to much and just put on a bad path overall. I was very nervous about buying my first pair of skis as they can be quite expensive and you want to get them right, however, as soon as I found curated and was paired with Hayden all the nervousness turned into pure excitement. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable about snowboarding in the west coast. Understands types of terrains and the type of board suited for the type of riding I like.
