The Curated Take
To this day, I still remember my first experience ever demoing this board. From the moment I strapped in and started riding, I immediately fell in love with the Stratos. The silky smooth turns on fresh corduroy and the boards ability to glide through snow impressed me. As I applied pressure through each carve, and really pumped into and out of each turn, it honestly felt more like I was surfing than snowboarding! Then came the stability at high speeds. I love zooming down the mountain as fast as I can, and with the Stratos, I felt confident going faster and faster, with no chatter, and only more and more confidence in its stability. This board has easily become my favorite board to shred the gnar!
- Deep, surfy carves through groomed runs.
- Bombing down the mountain with stability at high speeds due to its stiffness.
- Floating gracefully over deep powder.
- Not a true twin. Capable of riding switch, but not as well as other boards on the market.
- Great for jumps, side hits, and other tricks, but not a park oriented board.
- Not a split board, so it won't enable uphillers to hike up easily. Although, there is a split board version.
The Stratos is a hybrid all-mountain board built with the body of a directional freeride board and the spirit of a freestyle board.
The Stratos has a playful board feel thanks to a narrow sidecut and friendly flex, but the 10mm of taper and 3D Contour Base 3.0 give it the float and turn performance of a pow board. The directional rocker profile and Traction Tech 3.0 keep the Stratos locked on edge accelerating into carves and the textured Eco-plastic topsheet and Basalt stringers add torsional response and reduce board chatter in rough terrain. The Stratos also features Float Pack inserts that offer a setback stance option for the deepest days.

- Epic carving machine, quick and solid turns.
- Great flotation in powder.
- Softer flex for a freestyle vibe.
- Not the greatest over choppy uneven terrain.
