Product details

The Tour Edge Hot Launch E522 Single Iron-Wood is engineered for higher handicap players who want easier launch and more control from each iron in their set. The slice-fighting design couples with construction elements that reduce turf interaction and drag to deliver consistently high and straight ball flights.

Key Features:

  • Houdini Sole – A raised steel mass positioned in the rear of the club head along with a curved leading edge reduce drag and turf interaction while also lowering the center of gravity for easy-launching irons.
  • Hollow-Body – Producing the distance properties of a metal wood in an iron-like design, the hollow-body construction positions more mass at the perimeter for a forgiving and powerful face.
  • Offset Design – Built-in slice-fighting technology and an offset design reduce side spin.
  • Shallow Face Design – Unlike traditional iron shaping, the shallow face produces higher launch angles for impressive stopping power on the putting surface.

Review by Curated Expert David L. Brown
Overall, the Tour Edge Hot Launch E522 Single Iron-Wood is a solid option off the tee. It offers solid distance while maintaining consistency. I was pleased with my results off the tee. The average golfer will benefit from adding this club to their bag, especially if they struggle off the tee.

Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Tour Edge E521 and E522?
It is easy to confuse the E521 and the E522. The big difference between the two irons is that the E522 is a larger, hollow-body hybrid iron. In the higher lofted clubs, the black part that sticks out past the top line is not as easy to see, but in the longer irons, it is very visible.

Who makes hot launch clubs?
Hot Launch clubs are made by Tour Edge. While not being as well known as some of the big name brands, Tour Edge can compete when it comes to quality and performance. They offer a limited lifetime warranty on their products, which says that they stand behind the product that they are offering.
