This is a great jacket that provides amazing lightweight protection for those who want something for traversing or just a really nice jacket to use as a shell. This has been my go-to jacket for my local resort in Minnesota, which I layer with a merino wool base and a hoodie, and then when I go to Colorado, which is much warmer, I can practically wear this with just a t-shirt underneath. In the coldest, dry conditions locally, it keeps the wind out, and in the wet, warmer conditions in Colorado, it keeps the moisture out.

I love the hi vis of this jacket since I ride often with my son, and it's easy for him to spot me on the slopes whenever we get separated. The hood also fits over helmets for those uncomfortably windy chair lifts. Also, this jacket has pockets for literally anything you might need or want on the slopes.

Ideal for
  • Hi visibility for being seen on the slopes when riding with others
  • Light weight allows for easy movement
  • Hi tech material allows for great water and wind proofing
Not ideal for
  • Not great for warmth, this piece should be used as a shell and base layers should be added for colder conditions.

I just recently started snowboarding and finally committed to getting my own gears instead of renting. Nick was above and beyond every step of the way! I know nothing about snowboards and my son asked for a board for Christmas. We have been through a lot this year personally and just trying to make the holidays a bit more special for our son. I wanted a second opinion on the options I'd tried on at my local ski shop. I also wanted to get into the nitty gritty details of: my specific fit as double wide, small women's foot; and, the ski boot mechanics as they pertain to how women ski, to the skis I will be driving, to my current ability level, and to the level I intend to progress to.
