Official manufacturer description

Created for all-mountain versatility in an exceptionally lightweight package, the LINE Vision 98 shares the same build and featherweight feel as the Vision 108 and 118 straight down to the THC Technology. Whether you're looking to rally through the freshies, arc on groomers, or motor-up skin tracks, the LINE Vision 98 is up to the task. It may be one of the lightest skis you'll get your hands on, but don't let that fool you, the Vision 98 will rip whatever you throw at it.

This ski is ideal for those looking for a softer flexing, playful backcountry ski that is still light enough for long days walking uphill. If you find yourself skiing a lot of soft snow or finding as many drops and booters as possible this is a great option. While the ski is very light, if absorbs vibrations surprisingly well (within limits) allowing the skier to be more dynamic and creative with their lines. This ski also has a good amount of pop to it due to its softer tips and tails, this lets you butter, surf, and ollie off just about everything. The combination of low weight, with playful build creates a very unique ski.

Pros
  • A very light ski that is still playful and fun to ride
  • Above average stability for a ski in this weight class
  • Very nimble and easy to flick around
Cons
  • Skis this light can be pushed around in harder snow types
  • As a softer ski this is not ideal for challenging, technical descents
