I bought Reckoners because they're built to arc hero turns in deep powder off the summit and snap together do-or-die tree lines in the forest by the bottom lift-shack. They're light, nimble, lively and forgiving. I find myself seeking out more side hits to spin off and dropping into big lines with confidence, knowing they won't throw a buck I can't handle. Reckoners are a great park influenced ski that you can let loose on powder days, or be lucky enough to use as a daily driver if you're having one of those winters.
- Soft poppy flex for side-hits and back country jumps
- Pivots on a dime for slashy, slarvy new-school turns
- Floaty and forgiving in deep snow
- Not a lot of backbone when the snow firms up
- More rocker means less contact edge in steep 'n sticky situations
- Takes some skill to drive the tips with such a progressive (forward) stance
The K2 Reckoner 112 is a versatile all-mountain machine that is playful and good for any type of terrain or snow condition. These skis are designed for a wide array of skiers looking for a fun and versatile powder ski. This rockstar twin-tip is designed for any occasion. This ski can rip up anything thrown at it with confidence, and it will be the best friend on a powder day. The Reckoner 112 is a durable and fun ski that is an ideal weapon for fresh snow.
Key Features:
- All-Terrain Twin Rocker – The all-terrain twin rocker is a gradual extended rise at the tip and tail for added versatility and control in all conditions with twin-tipped skis.
- Fir / Aspen Double Barrel Core – This is the backbone of ski cores within K2's park and pipe collection. The core combines a dense, fir core over the edges for power and impact resistance, with a lighter aspen center core for a lively energetic feel.
- Twin-Tech Sidewalls – A durable sidewall construction method originally developed for twin tip skis helps make the edges more resistant to ski-on-ski impact damage.

- The Reckoner is super easy to ski in tight terrain, requiring little effort to slash turns through trees, even in shallower conditions.
- It also has a huge sweet spot and lets me ski it through the shovels, from the middle, or even the tail.
- The 112 Reckoner is the widest ski in my quiver and is super easy to slash and pivot in deep snow. It can stomp anything.
- The Reckoner is not quite as surfy as the K2 Catamaran, but it still super playful.
- The tips don't have the highest clearance and can sometimes dive in deep conditions.
- This ski is not very stiff nor very heavy, so it’s not very good at blowing straight through patches of cut-up snow.
