The redesigned HiLight 2P offers assault tent performance in a roomy, steep-side wall construction. The new Flow Manifold (patent pending) allows interior heat convection and exterior airflow to draw moisture vapor and stale air out of the tent. New, high tenacity 30D poly fabric keeps the tent tight as a drum in all conditions and is treated for flame resistance for North America compliance/availability. We’ve also added fully taped seams (no more seam sealing required on your own), reinforced internal pole grips, and reflective guylines that are now three times stronger. In addition, the Flow Manifold allows for a central, ceiling exit rope for anchoring in on steep pitches.

I had issues with condensation
Originally posted at www.blackdiamondequipment.com on Mar 11, 2024I have only tested this once on a winter camping in temps in high 20s, no wind, no rain or snow and this is my impression:
1- tent feels very light for a 4 season tent which makes the backpacking more fun. 2- It is very easy and very very fast to set up (on a flat unfrozen dirt ground). 2- it is a single wall tent with poles going inside which means u have to open the door completely to set the tent up which means if it is raining when ure setting it up, the inside of the tent will definitely get wet. 3- I had the half moon ventilation completely open (just the mesh was zipped), the main door was one half open (from the floor up to the top on the side that my head was), and in the morning water from condensation was dripping on my face and my sleeping bag was wet to the touch. not sure how or if I could have reduced the condensation.

Pretty Solid Little Tent
Originally posted at www.blackdiamondequipment.com on Feb 24, 2024Used this for the first time in over a few climbs in the summer of 2023. My climbing partner and I could fit our two sleeping pads into it but it was close. When one of us moved it shook the entire tent. We weren't able to fit any of our gear in the tent other than a headlamp, smaller items, and pieces of clothing. Hearing that the vestibule makes it a true 2P/3P tent and will probably get that for our upcoming summer climbs. Took this thing up Mt Shasta on a pretty hot July weekend and it did just fine in keeping us as shaded as it could. A few weeks later got up to the Lunch Counter on Mt Adams where we spent the night in a storm with heavy winds and freezing rain. The condensation build-up in the tent was not great as it would often bead up and fall on our faces or sleeping bags, but this is expected with lightweight tents like this. Packs up pretty well in my pack and is not heavy. Ventilation windows make it easy to control the temp (as much as you can). Overall very pleased with the "Blueberry" and look forward to getting it on a few trips this summer with the vestibule.
