This is a great bag for sleepers who prefer the comfort of a traditional, rectangular-shaped bag, but the added benefits of a mummy-style bag. It packs down super small, is lightweight, and even has multiple zipper functions to adjust wiggle room and temperature control. Suited for compatibility with a sleeping pad and pillow.
Ideal for
- Extremely compact for easy packing.
- Great shape for all users, not just back sleepers.
- Can attach a sleeping pad to bag with integrated straps.
Not ideal for
- Not quite suited for the listed temperature rating.
The Basecamp BcII 20F sleeping bag from Sea to Summit is a roomy and comfortable, synthetic option designed for those who want a luxurious nights sleep while car camping.
Key Features:
- Thermolite® Insulation - Sea to Summits insulation technology provides impressive warmth and packability in a synthetic bag.
- WaveLoft Construction - The layers of Thermolite® insulation are sewn in a wave shape, providing added warmth by increasing loft.
- Multiple Zippers - Zippers on both sides of the bag, as well as around the footbox, help better regulate temperatures as needed.
- Sleeping Pad Attachments - Sea to Summit designed the basecamp bag with elastic loops, and a pocket at the foot, to secure it to a sleeping pad; Helping stay put throughout the night.

Came to the site again (with previous good experience from other departments) in need of a tent and footprint-- Elizabeth was great with recommendations and offering more options that stayed within the budget but weren't on the radar to begin with. That and helping with other recommendations generally for hiking/camping, she is greatly appreciated!

I’m taking a couple month backpacking trip and needed all new gear that I am unfamiliar with. Scott was able to help me find everything I needed; if something did not fit my budget or was not quite right for me, he suggested different items to help me find the perfect gear. He responds quickly and always checked in to maintain communication. He’s easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be asking Scott for help again. Great all around experience.
