What was your favorite moment with this gear?

The overall consistency of the Mizuno ST-X 220 fairway wood is what stood out most to me when testing this club. Everything about my experience with the ST-X 220 fairway wood focused back on the ease of use and overall feel. Seeing a high launch with a draw flight was achieved on all of the shots with this club. I certainly can hit my fair share of bad shots and by no means have a perfect swing, but maintaining a repeatable ball flight with the ST-X 220 was something I was highly impressed with. If you're in the market for an easy-to-hit fairway wood with a soft feel, the ST-X 220 would be an outstanding option. , I had a great experience using this 3 wood off the tee on a short par four and put it right down the middle of the fairway. Could be a driver replacement for those with driver phobia.

The Mizuno ST-X 220 fairway wood is an easy to launch option that produces a very soft feel and a draw bias ball flight. Similar to the driver and fairway wood, the ST-X 220 hybrid includes a pushed back and lower center of gravity to promote the high launch and draw bias ball flight. Similar to the fairway wood, the hybrid also includes the Wave Sole which is beneficial for effortless turf interaction. In my testing, I found the ST-X 220 fairway wood to be easy to hit and really found the soft feel to be pleasing. I would highly recommend the ST-X 220 fairway wood to any mid to high-handicap player looking for a high launching, draw bias option to use off the tee or in the fairway or rough.

This product is ideal for a mid-handicapper. Mizuno has made two separate models, the ST-X and the ST-Z. They have made it very known that the ST-X is more suitable for the vast majority of players. it is more consistent, it is easier to hit, and it will have a larger sweet spot that its other model.

What is the value for the money versus other options?

The Mizuno ST-X 220 is competitively priced in the category to give players a great value of the overall performance of the club. When considering the well-rounded nature of the launch, distance, and feel elements, it's hard to find an all-around better option for a cheaper price point.

Why did you choose this product?

When considering a new fairway wood my priorities focus on forgiveness, launch, distance, and feel. The Mizuno ST-X 220 was able to check off all of these boxes. I hit the ball all over the face of the three wood during my testing and found a consistent ball flight on almost every swing. Being able to accomplish a high flight with my normal draw provided me confidence as I hit more balls.

What do you love about this product?

The Mizuno ST-X 220 is an easy to launch fairway wood option that has a lot of forgiveness to appeal to mid to high-handicap players. After testing the ST-220 fairway I was highly impressed with the consistency of the high launch and draw bias flight in addition to the soft feel across the entire face. I believe the higher levels of forgiveness was a primary reason for achieving a consistent ball flight. With mishits not being overly penalizing, I found hitting my consistent shot shape (a draw) to be easily accomplished. Additionally, the head and face are fully titanium to provide higher ball speeds and more distance. Ultimately, I really enjoyed a lot about the ST-X 220. The higher level of forgiveness, higher ball flight, and soft feel were all things that stood out to me as key features on this Mizuno fairway wood.
