Product details

The 2021 Kemper Apex Snowboard is for backcountry riders looking for a split board with great float in powder and a nimble surf-like feel. The snowboard’s short and stubby outline allows the board to be ridden shorter than your traditional snowboard for added agility.

Key Features:

  • Medium-Stiff Flex 6/10 – This build helps the board bust through chop and remain stable at speed.
  • Early Rise Camber – The nose rocker helps the board float through powder, while the flat profile through the tail keeps the board loose, and nimble.
  • Phantom Hercules Clips – Easy to use, these clips provide a solid board feel for the downhill.

Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
Are Kemper Snowboards good?
Kemper Snowboards has been recently revived and I will answer all the questions about Kemper's revival and the quality of their snowboards. In 2018, Jib Hunt, a former professional snowboarder, re-launched the Kemper Snowboards brand. The brand now has a headquarters near Park City, Utah and is making their snowboards in the GP87 factory in China. The GP87 factory is well known and has been making boards since 1987, as well as being owned by American riders. Kemper also has an industry leading 4 year limited warranty on their snowboards, while many brands have 3 or less years for their warranty. In conclusion Kemper is a retro brand with retro graphics, but are making high quality snowboards with up to date materials, modern methods, and durable construction.

Does Kemper still make snowboards?
Kemper Snowboards was one of the original companies that made snowboarding a snow sport sensation. Unfortunately, it went under way back in 1994 and ceased production—until now. Jib Hunt, a former graphic designer for Burton, recently purchased the rights to Kemper Snowboards and has restarted production in Utah. So far, Kemper seems to be staying true to its roots with some truly psychedelic looking snowboards.

Where are Kemper Snowboards made?
These days with manufacturing spread out all over the globe, it's hard to keep track of the truly American made companies. Fortunately, Kemper is one of them but where exactly are they made? Kemper boards were originally made in Ontario, CA starting in 1983. As of 2018, manufacturing of Kemper Snowboards moved to Park City, Utah in the good ole US of A. Kemper snowboards are made in Park City, Utah.
