Ask Erik a question about this product:
The Marker Kingpin 13 2022 Ski Bindings are designed for the hard charging backcountry skier. This binding utilizes pin technology in the toe piece for smooth, fast ascents; Combined with a more rugged heel piece for staying locked in on the descent. This tech binding makes for a great all-in-one binding that is lighter (around 680g) than most crossover bindings; And more stable and durable than most ascent-oriented tech bindings.
Key Features:
- Intuitive Step In Toe Piece – This feature along with Anti-Ice Pads help guide the foot into place for easy and quick transitions on the hill and ideal usability.
- KINGPIN Heel – This leads to great power descent on the downhill without the fear of premature release like full tech heels.
- XXL Power Transmitter – This gives the rider tremendous stability and power on the descent.
- Climbing Aids – Ideal for steep ascents ranging from 0 to 13 degrees.

This product is good for a huge variety of skiers who find themselves in the backcountry just as much as in the resort. The traditional downhill-style heel clip promises a stability and safety on the descent, while the toe pin insert offers easy uphill use. I am a mid-weight yet aggressive female skier (5'7" 145lbs), and I have no doubt... Read more

Andrew Veld owns this product
Great for someone looking to get a touring setup similar to an in bounds binding. This is because of the heal peace and your ability to set a din. Which is a huge plus as you choose terrain and depending on what type of skier you are. It is a little bulky, but still super light weight.
Ideal for
- Downhill performance is amazing due to din settings on heel piece
- Two level heal rise
- No snow or ice buildup in bindings
Not ideal for
- Heavier than a typical touring binding
- Had trouble clipping my toe piece in with Tecnica Cochise, I own Langes now that work great with it
- Hard to tell sometimes if toe piece is completely locked

I don't know much when it comes to snowboard gear and I was really hesitant to to pick out a few specific boards to try and decide between, but josh gave me a Hollar and was able to help me not only give me boards to decide between, but gave me recommendations between all the gear I will need. Josh is absolutely fantastic and deserves a raise.

Been looking to get some skis for a long time and I was hesitant to pull the trigger. Eventually, my new company offered me a wellness credit that included fitness and ski reimbursement. I came back to Curated and Jonathan updated my curation for me. Great experience as he was super knowledgeable and friendly.

I have never heard of curated until I searched it up for the first time and had no idea that they match you with a REAL expert with years of experience. My experience with Aimee was fantastic and i’m not lying for the review. She was very helpful and friendly as I am new to all of it. We came to a conclusion about gear and prices and it all fit perfectly for me. I definitly hope more people get matched with her as she was a great help. Thanks again and I appreciate the great advice.

I love that Curated puts you in touch with a real expert. I filled out the profile, quickly heard from Sarah and had a personalized list of snowboards to choose from. Having researched the boards, I found Sarah's comments and suggestions were spot on with what other riders stated about the recommended boards.
