Product details

The Yamamoto 5" Senko Worm is a classic, soft plastic bait that offers versatility with a track record of catching fish. Anglers fishing on a worm hook or straight hook find it can be added to almost anything pointy and get a response from fish. Rigged weighted, weightless, wacky, or even used as a trailer, it's strong structure and wiggle entices bites out of hungry predators. The Yamamoto plastic includes a salt mixture and is responsive to the lightest of rod twitches.

Key Features:

  • High Salt Content – An additive increases weight and flexibility to the plastic.
  • Proven Track Record – A solid reputation makes this arguably the single most productive bait EVER for bass fishing.
  • Numerous Color Patterns – Available dark to light with plenty of nuanced flake options, the pattern versatility is more than sufficient.

Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
What color Senko worm is best?
The Senko Worm Color that is best is the one the fish are currently biting on. There are some top producing colors, however. Green Pumpkin Black Flake is a great all round color. Watermelon red green flake has been the most popular color for a long time as it is effective in murky and clear water. June Bug is a great color for darker, deeper water. Black Blue Flake will often produce in low light situations such as early mornings or sunsets. Chartreuse Tip Senko also will work in clear to murky waters.

Yamamoto Senkos are one of the most popular and productive bass fishing lures of all time. They have enough bulk and move enough water to get the attention of hungry fish, and they are heavy enough that you can cast them a good distance on baitcasting gear without needing to add a weight. They provide a slow and subtle movement that attracts bass without spooking them in highly pressured waters. They are salt impregnated, making them sink to the bottom at just the right rate, and it adds to the attracting power of the lure. They come in many colors and multiple sized and can be rigged on any number hooks designed for bass fishing. Senkos are deadly when rigged weightless on a wide gap worm hook and dragged along weedlines and paralell to the bank.
