Product details

The ZMan Project Z Chatterbait, designed for jig fisherman, is ZMan's most popular bladded swim jig. ZMan has added several new features to this version, including a streamlined head that gives the blade more room to move, a new quick clip for a secure connection, a multi-step skirt with new design to give it a bigger profile and an enlarged jighead collar to prevent the skirt from slipping. This bait can be fished around heavy cover or through open water. The blade action creates vibrations that attract fish. The Project Z is available in 3 sizes to allow the angler to choose the best size for the current conditions. Key Features:

 • Multiple Colors Available The Project Z is available in over 10 colors to fit any water condition.
 • Realistic Look With Multi-step skirts and 3-D eyes, the body has an ultra realistic appearance.
 • Available in 3 Sizes The 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz sizes come with a chemically sharpened heavy duty Mustad UltraPoint black nickle hook in size 5/0, and the 3/4 oz has the same hook in a size 6/0.

Which ChatterBait is best?
Q: Which ChatterBait is best? There are multiple versions and I'm not sure which one I should get. A: It depends on your circumstances. If you're on a budget and are prone to losing lures, the Original Chatterbait is best suited for your needs. If you fish clear or highly pressured bodies of water, Project Z will likely be more productive. If you have a lot of confidence in ChatterBaits and fish in heavy cover, you might want to consider the Jackhammer. There are multiple versions of Z-Man's ChatterBait that are designed to meet anglers' needs depending on their specific conditions.

When should I fish with ChatterBait?
Q: When should I fish a ChatterBait? I want to find out how to make the most out of this lure. A: In the summer when bass are the most aggressive is the best time to fish a ChatterBait. Slowing down the retrieve and fishing them close to the bottom can be productive in the early spring. When bass are spread out in the fall, a ChatterBait is an excellent way to cover water quickly and catch some fish. ChatterBaits can be fished all throughout the year and by varying your retrieve they are a versatile way to catch big bass.

How do you rig Zman ChatterBait?
Q:How do you rig a Z-Man Chatterbait? I've been wanting to get into fishing chatterbaits, but I'm not sure where to start. A: ChatterBaits work best with a simple swimbait trailer. Swimbaits with a paddle or boot tail can create too much secondary action when rigged on a bladed jig. A Yamamoto Zako or Z-Man RaZor Shadz are well-suited for a ChatterBait trailer. ChatterBaits are a great lure for bass and work well paired with a simple swimbait trailer and fished on a medium heavy baitcaster.
