The TaylorMade Stealth Iron Set is built for the higher handicap, newer, or moderate swing speed golfer seeking a forgiving iron that will improve distance.
A free-floating face construction with a hollow body and capped backing targets typical mishit locations to produce dependable ball speeds from multiple impact points across the clubface.
Key Features:
- Cap Back Design – Multi-materials in the Cap Back design and toe wrap construction enable the repositioning of weight from the high toe to the sole, delivering players optimal forgiveness and distance while preserving a forged-like feel.
- Thru-Slot Speed Pocket – Ensuring launch from mishits on the low end of the clubface, speed pocket technology maximizes face flexibility to empower consistently fast ball speeds and reliable distance.
- Progressive Inverted Cone Technology – The 450 stainless steel face material combines with progressive inverted cone technology to stretch the hitting zone towards the toe and deliver forgiveness and targeted ball flights from a large hitting area.
- ECHO Damping System – Producing a forged-like feel, a soft polymer blend behind the face and on multiple contact points channel away unwanted vibrations.

The re-worked Cap Back design now includes a toe-wrap construction that is engineered to improve face flexibility and deliver faster ball speeds. The multi-material design allows Stealth to outperform traditional irons. These irons feature an intelligently positioned sweet spot that covers the most common impact points and translates to enhanced performance and explosive ball-speeds.
They took mass out of the toe and put it into the sole of the iron, which lowers the CG (center of gravity) and increases the launch angle and the maximum height of the ball flight. This creates longer carry distances and more stopping power. Grab and hold the greens from longer distances. The ECHO dampening system absorbs vibration and give the Stealth a solid feel with explosive distances all across the face.

They have a lightweight steel 85g shaft. Cap Back construction. These irons perform so much better than the traditional cavity back iron. Lightweight polymer. More stability across the whole club face. The mass is repositioned into the sole of the club resulting in lower center of gravity, higher and easier launch and low center of gravity. Large sweet spot which assists with forgiveness and also helps the golfer who might have a tendency here and there to hit a few off-centered strikes. With these clubs, even off-centered hits do not result in loss of power or distance or accuracy.

These irons feature the Cap Back design with toe wrap construction that moves the CG lower in the club to launch the ball higher, faster, and longer! This same construction allows for a larger sweet spot on the face of the club that delivers enhanced forgiveness and explosive ball speeds. These irons also contain the echo dampening system which is going to give you that soft buttery feel of a forged iron and absorb unwanted vibrations. Combined with the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket, for maximized face flexibility and forgiveness on mis-hits, these irons are going to check off all the boxes for a really forgiving, high launching, distance enhancing iron like you've never seen before from TaylorMade!

The TaylorMade Stealth irons are long and forgiving. Captivating looks and wonderful feel.
The Stealth Irons have a great overall appearance, much of an upgrade from the SIM2 look in my opinion. In the bag, the Stealth have a clean, modern look.
The Stealth irons feel amazingly soft. That "forged iron feel" is produced by what TaylorMade calls Echo Damping System. For sound, the irons produce a pleasant 'snap' with decent contact.
For performance, you're looking at impressive launch angle and height, with strong distance. No strengthened loft on the irons to create this, TaylorMade was able to engineer high launch by moving mass from the toe to the sole. The mass being positioned in the sole also adds forgiveness to thin shots.

Higher handicaps that need a little more forgiveness but still want a good feeling iron that provides enough distance and height to be able to stop the ball on the green. Utilizing perimeter weighting, these irons will help produce faster ball speeds on mishits, keeping distance up when striking the ball outside of center.
