This is the best fly rod and dry dropper fly rod for close ranges. Not the most versatile fly rod as it is suited for specific situations. This is for the fly fisherman looking for a fly rod for casting 10' - 30' in small water.
There are several options ranging anywhere from 1wt - 4wt in different lengths. Several of these also come in a 6-piece, making it a great option for keeping in your vehicle or will fit in most backpacks.

The Douglas Upstream Fly Rod series lineup from Douglas Outdoors includes eight unique, ultra-light fly rods designed primarily for trout fishing. Each rod is designed for brushy and tight-quarters fishing environments. Designed for close casting, this rod still allows for line control. Do longer fly rods cast further?
A skilled fly caster should be able to cast just as far with a 9' rod as a 10' rod. There is really one reason to buy a longer rod - extra reach. Depending on your fishing technique (e.g. Euronymphing) this may be desirable.Answered by:

Rylyn found a sale for the Douglas Sky G rod and recommended it. He said that this was the best rod in the market and so I bought it. We paired it with monic Trout Master fly line. I was not disappointed at all! The rod feels intuitive and natural to cast. I could cast more accurately and a longer distance than I ever did with my previous rod.
