The Mizuno Pro 223 Iron Set is engineered for advanced golfers seeking a compact-shaped iron with a limited cavity to deliver profound ball flight control while appealing to the discerning eye. Specific and varied weighting between the long and short irons pinpoint targeted trajectories, enabling the better player to chose their path to the pin.

Key Features:

  • One-Piece Grain Flow Forged – Using a One-Piece Grain Flow forging process produces impeccable consistency in feel and spin generation throughout the set.
  • Soft Copper Underlay – Further enhancing the pure, soft feel of the iron, a microlayer of copper is placed under the Nickle Chrome surface material.
  • Flow Micro Slot 4-7 Irons – Within a small, tour-ready profile, a Forged Chromoly with Flow Micro Slot technology in the 4-7-irons ramps up ball speeds and control for the longer to mid-length approach shots.
  • 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel – A short and compact shape in the 8-iron through Pitching Wedge delivers precise launch and ball spin to target any point on the green.

The new Mizuno Pro 223 irons are a phenomenal player's cavity back iron, designed for the more advanced player who is looking for top-end performance, while still enjoying some forgiveness in their irons.

Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
Are Mizuno irons really good?
Most golfers and fitters would recommend that single digit handicap golfers and below can use the Mizuno MP 225 and 223 without having problems. Both models are considered a blade or muscle back style and are designed to feel amazing. These irons will fly higher and spin more than a cavity back iron and are designed to be very accurate and precise.

Mizuno is known for their incredibly smooth forged feel and control with their irons and these will deliver that and more. The forged Chromoly metal construction is thinner to produce even faster ball speeds compared to previous generations for more distance and better spin consistency and launch. These will give you the ultimate control and balance you're looking for in a scoring iron.

The technology in the face is called forged chromoly with flow micro slot, and it allowed Mizuno to decrease the face thickness which enhances ball speed, but only in the 4-7 irons. The 8-PW are the one piece grain flow forged heads that has made Mizuno king of feel in irons over the years. These were designed with tour pros in mind, as the head are a bit smaller than its predecessor, especially in the short irons. Looks and feel are staples in the Mizuno family, and these are no different.

Perfect for the mid handicapper looking to take their game to the next level. Great feel and you will be able to move the ball with these as you desire. Lower face for better feel and ball speeds.

The Mizuno Pro 223 conceals a speed-enhancing construction within the frame of a compact players cavity. A microlayer of copper underlay gives an extremely pure and responsive feel. A mild carbon steel allows for ultimate precision on the 8-PW. Overall built for responsive, performance-driven play without sacrificing forgiveness.
