The Mizuno Pro 225 Iron Set is great for the 5 - 12 handicapper looking for a total distance iron. The set has a sleek look which is very similar to a blade but also offers a substantial amount of forgiveness. The Mizuno Pro 225 also has a super soft feel and a great sound at impact.

Expert Q&A
Quick, accurate answers from Curated experts to the frequently asked questions
Are Mizuno irons really good?
Most golfers and fitters would recommend that single digit handicap golfers and below can use the Mizuno MP 225 and 223 without having problems. Both models are considered a blade or muscle back style and are designed to feel amazing. These irons will fly higher and spin more than a cavity back iron and are designed to be very accurate and precise.

Is Mizuno Pro 225 a blade?
The MP that is common amongst all Mizuno muscle back irons stands for Mizuno Pro. This is the high end line at Mizuno which is designed for players with low handicaps who strike the ball out of the center of the face consistently. Additionally, these model irons are designed to have higher ball flights and better feel to help low handicap players shoot lower scores.

Most playable of the Pro series, these are for the more consistent player who strikes the ball well and in the middle of the face and wants a great performing iron that is sleek and blade style but gets you added distance. The shorter irons have a different design that is dialed in for more precision and a more penetrating ball flight. Soft copper underlay for a softer feel. 28.5g of tungsten produces a higher ball flight. Super compact players style iron.

The Pro 225 irons have the Grain Flow face and neck that deliver excellent soft feel and precision that Mizuno is known for. The faces are thinner for faster ball speeds compared to previous models to give you more distance and penetrating launch. The added tungsten weight produces stable ball flights that can be manipulated any way you'd like on the course to give you total control. It has a blade look, but with more forgiveness to give you the best of both worlds.

Tungsten weighting and hollow back design provide stable ball flight and enhanced ball speeds. Grain flow forgred face and neck in 2-8 iron provide feel and workability in this premium set. A 4 piece stainless back in addition to the laser welded hollow body give the traditional blade look while performance is paramount. Sound and feel are matched to the Pro 221 Muscle-Back irons.
