The Orvis Battenkill Reel is the old, proven, traditional standard reel from Orvis. This reel is for the purist who enjoys the sound of a click pawl reel. Perfect for balancing with a small stream fly rod. This is a classic reel that still has its place for traditional anglers. Key Features:

Strong and Versitile
Originally posted at www.orvis.com on Dec 21, 2023Best click and pawl reel I’ve used. It’s adjustable so you can tweak the tension based upon where you are fishing. It’s also milled from solid aluminum, not cast! I fell once and smashed this reel on a rock and there wasn’t a scratch on it.
