I have made an order on my broken rod tip on December 2024 and they said they will ship on 2nd of February 2025 okay I accepted it thought its christmas busy. And today is 4th of March 2025 month later i haven’t received the rod tip!!! Even though they said sorry its delayed and we will ship you on 25th of February!! I emaild the repair team and customer service no reply no news!!!

Smooth as silk casting**
Originally posted at www.orvis.com on Mar 3, 2025The number of stars is NOT reflection on Orvis so much as a reflection on the singular rod I received as a Christmas gift this year. On the first warmish day of this late winter, I hit the water with my new Encounter 8'6" 5wt setup. So much better than the junky set up I learned on. Casting was nearly effortless for distances that I had to really work for with my learners set up. And so there was little to no casting fatigue. However, that lack of fatigue is mostly due to the fact that on the very first eat (or bite if you prefer) as I set the hook, the tip of the rod broke about 2" below the very top eye. I am waiting for a reply from the CS dept at Orvis. And I will continue to sing the praises of this company and will get this resolved and when I'm ready to upgrade from the Encounter...I'll be coming right back here!!!!
